A French toast

Things do not seem very bright for reigning French president Nicholas Sarkozy who is running for the presidential elections once again. Giving tough competition to him is Francois Hollande. Till now Francois Hollande has been able to secure twenty eight percent of votes in the very first round of the presidential elections whereas Nicholas Sarkozy has been able to secure twenty seven percent of the total votes as per the ballots counted. Sarkozy and French Elections are the hot topic among the media right now. The first round wrapped up on the 22^nd April 29, 2012 and the second round is scheduled to take place on 6^th May, 2012. Sarkozy is running for the second time for the presidential election in a successive pattern now.

This is in fact a blow to the confident Sarkozy who till now was enjoying a good term in France as the President. Hollande has almost crushed Sarkozy’s hopes of becoming President for the second time in a row as he is within a very short distance from winning the elections. Sarkozy came in second in the first round of voting against the fifty-seven year old Hollande who claims to dislike the rich and thinks the high finance world his enemy. This has made Sarkozy and French Elections a hot topic of discussion amongst many a people as well as the world as Sarkozy has been in the news in past for many reasons apart from political ones. In fact he is very famous for his marriage to ex-model Carla Bruni and the controversies surrounding her.

Experts claim that Hollande has been successful thanks to his slow and steady approach to the elections.

His qualities friendly nature and soft-spoken ness are also things that have attracted the people towards him. Hollande is considered to be a very witty person unlike his rival Sarkozy. In fact Sarkozy is considered as the hyper-president because of his constant display of overflowing energy that can also be seen when it comes to campaigning. He is known to make various pledges and promises when it comes to campaigning. He also expressed his displeasure about the media that he thinks is very biased. Hollande has only one short coming that of never having ministerial and consequentially international experiences unlike Sarkozy. What happens next with Sarkozy and French Elections is indeed something to watch out for as it promises to be exciting.
