The recent release of the MLA from Chhattisgarh has once again given rise to the need to highlight and tackle the naxal issue in Chhattisgarh. Before the release of the MLA an Italian tourist was also held captive by these very naxalites questioning the safety of foreign tourists owing to the problem of naxalism. In fact the government has not been able to curb the naxalites movement which has also given rise to war and violence instead it has been on a rise in the past few years. The naxalites claim to be the survivors or those who will bring order to the chaos by the state government and mostly the youth has fallen prey to its promises that involves wrong means of protesting, that of using a gun.
The naxalites are people who work underground and attack the unjust ways of the government by means of violence. Their favorite targets are police employees, army officer, government officials and any and everyone that can yield them some profit by causing loss to the government or to their image. In fact Chhattisgarh is a major area where naxal attacks still prevail and affect the life of innocent people who have no involvement in all this at all. This is fast making tackling the naxal issue in Chhattisgarh a priority day by day.
The naxal groups are mostly wanderers and move around with weapons of their own. When they recruit new members to the group they make them undergo severe training physically as well as mentally. The naxalites claim that their only motive is to take in charge the political power into their own hands to mend the ways of the system.
Over the years many articles have been written, many books have been published and many movies have been made over the naxal issue in Chhattisgarh however the government has not been able to take control of this problem and repair it completely. Even though promises are made every year that the government will act sternly against the naxalites and their movement, it has failed to do so. What the government really needs is better ways like modernizing the police force and so on to tackle this problem and tackle it very soon.
