Hitler lair commonly known as Wolf’s lair is a fortress present in the Poland. Now the government of Poland is all set to turn that historical fortress into a tourist spot. The fortress is present in the deep forests of north-eastern Poland. The fortress is famous because it was the site where an assassination attempt was made on Hitler. The attempt of assassination was made by Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg. The fortress got a lot of limelight after a movie of Tom Cruise released in the year 2008, was filmed in this fortress. The fortress was used as headquarter for Hitler’s military operations during the World War II. The fortress was wiped out during early 1945, when Nazi forces attacked on it.
The government is looking for some appropriate investors who are willing enough to put in some reasonable amount of money for the renovation of the fortress.
The fortress was named “Wolf” after Hitler’s nick name. The government is planning to form a museum. The museum will stay open throughout the year. The Government has asked for the interested investors, but so far, no one seems interested. The investment will be huge. The museum will have the belongings from the fortress. The fortress has always been accessing of the public but very few people visit it because of the fact that the fortress is deep in the forest. There are no proper roads for the tourists to reach the fortress and is accessible by the way of dirty roads.The fortress is extremely huge and in its original form, it has 80 buildings. It has its own railway station and a power plant as well. The fortress was built with the keen observation. It was deep in the forests and was camouflaged in such an amazing way that it was hardly difficult for the air forces to locate it. The government hopes to find an investor soon and begins work on the plan.
